ZP has extremely low resources use..
Please check that all the install center items are installed, otherwise ZP has to use less efficient play methods.
Also check in task manager if another process is responsible for the load.
Runs really well on my system. You could use one of those programs that turns off unecessary programs while using the player. e.g. game booster from IObit, which is free can give you a 40% boost in resources. also it has a btton to turn it off so that when you're done playing you can return your system to normal. :)
That would probably sort the lag problem you are having.
